Review: Tyrannosaur

“God ain’t my fucking daddy. My daddy was a fucking cunt”

I have to admit it; I avoided seeing this at the cinema. Not because I didn’t think it would be good, quite the opposite. Paddy Considine is one of the best actors working today and I knew any film with his name attached as Director would be affecting and astoundingly brilliant. I wasn’t wrong. Tyrannosaur is about abuse and redemption and it is brutally but thoughtfully depicted.  I sat at home and watched it on Blu-ray and allowed myself to be enthralled by the depth of the characters and moved by the dramatic and realistic scenes.
