Review : War Horse

War Horse is a family drama war film. It stars Jeremy Irvine (Life Bites), Emily Watson (Gosford Park), Peter Mullan (Tyrannosaur), David Thewlis (Harry Potter), Benedict Cumberbatch (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy), Tom Hiddleston (Thor) and Eddie Marsan (Sherlock Holmes). The film is directed by Steven Spielberg (Jaws, Saving Private Ryan and The Adventures of Tintin).
The film is based on the British novel of the same name by Michael Morpurgo and also the play adaptation.

The Adventures of Tintin is a performance capture adventure film starring Jamie Bell (The Eagle), Andy Serkis (Burke & Hare), Simon Pegg (Run Fatboy Run), Nick Frost (Attack The Block) and Daniel Craig (Casino Royale). The film is directed by Steve Spielberg (E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial).
Combining the stories of The Crab with the Golden Claws, The Secret of the Unicorn and Red Rackham’s Treasure, the film depicts Tintin’s first encounter with Captain Haddock and the discovery of a clue to the treasure of his ancestor Sir Francis Haddock. They set out to find it with protection from a prison escapee who tried to get the treasure as well as Detectives Thompson and Thomson.
Tintin and Captain Haddock set off on a treasure hunt for a sunken ship commanded by Haddock’s ancestor. But someone else is in search of the ship.
People have forgotten how to tell a story. Stories don’t have a middle or an end any more. They usually have a beginning that never stops beginning.

Super 8 Screener
So, this is what happens when there is so much time between the US release and the UK release - piracy will win.
Yesterday, JJ Abrams new movie, Super 8 hit the cinemas, around the same time, a DVD Screener of the film hit the bay of pirates.

TinTin Trailer #2 : This is the trailer we have all been waiting for, waiting to see if the motion capture has advanced in the last two years. The answer…no. The mouth movement still hasn’t been refined to a point where I can take it seriously.
Regardless of this being a Spielberg film, I could be less excited for this.
The War Horse trailer has arrived. This can only mean one thing…two Spielberg movies in one year (TinTin & This).
War Horse Follows a young man named Albert and his horse, Joey, and how their bond is broken when Joey is sold to the cavalry and sent to the trenches of World War One. Despite being too young to enlist, Albert heads to France to save his friend.
